KIM SCOTT (Ex-Wife)

One recurring character in Eminem's music is his on-again off-again wife Kim. The two began dating in high school and had a child together in 1995. After breaking up and making up for ten years, the two tied the knot on June 14, 1999. After only one year of being married Eminem filed for a divorce because he caught Kim kissing another man. The two reconciled but not for long. Kim filed for a divorce in March. The two then worked out their problems and were remarried. Finally, Eminem filed for divorce a second time from Kim on April 5, 2006 which was only three months after reconciling their marriage.

NATHAN KANE (Half Brother)

Nathan (nickname: Nate) was born on 3rd February, 1986 out of the relationship between Debbie and Fred Samara Junior. He and Eminem have a very close relationship and they spend a lot of time together. Em takes him along to several events, e.g. the Spring Blings 2001 and the Detroit Music Awards, where Nate received the award for Eminem.

Nate is currently putting together an album with the hope to release is in 2007.

HAILIE JADE (Daughter)

Hailie was born on the 25th of december, 1996. Eminem adores his daughter and points that out in his interviews. Em would like to be a better father for Hailie than his father Marshall Bruce Mathers II was for him. Eminem even put her voice in his track '97 Bonnie & Clyde'! Since the divorce, Eminem and Kim share the custody of Hailie.

MARSHALL MATHERS II (Father)

Em's dad married Debbie Mathers-Briggs in the year 1972, when she was already pregnant with Em. The marriage only lasted one year: after Marshall II walking out. Eminem never saw his father again after that. His dad tried to approach his son since Em became famous, but Em does not care about his dad and rejects any contact with him.

DEBBIE BRIGGS (Mother)

Debbie became pregnant at the age of 17 and married her boyfriend Marshall Mathers II. The marriage only lasted for one year, because he walked out on Debbie and Em. Thereafter she had several relationships. She had another baby (Em's half brother Nathan) in 1986. His father is Fred Samara Jr., who denied that he was his son and was sued to pay alimony.

The relationship between Em and his mom is very bad at the moment: in 1999 she filed a lawsuit against her son (10 million dollars), because he named her in an interview a 'drug addicted alcoholic and vagabund'. Eminem had to pay Debbie $25,000 dollars compensation for pain and suffering. 

After the death of Eminem's best friend, Proof, he has decided to forgive his cancer struck mother. He paid all her medicals bills and made peace between them.

BETTY KRESIN (Grandmother)

Betty Kresin is Debbie's mother. She's got six children of three different men, and the oldest one is Em's mother. Em's favourite uncle Ronnie was her son. Eminem grew up for a while at his grandma's house, but the relationship between them has since spiraled downward. The reason: Eminem wanted to release Ronnie's demo tapes, but Betty disapproved and stopped Em from using them. They no longer speak.

RONALD DEAN POLKINGHARN (Uncle)

Although Ronald (Ronnie) was Eminem's uncle, he was only two months older than Em. They grew up like brothers and you can say without overstatement that he was the only relative Em really loved. Ronnie commited suicide in the year 1991 at the age of 19 by shooting himself in the head. The reason is apparently because of a girlfriend at the time. It took a long time for Eminem to cope with the death of Ronnie. The dog tag Eminem wears used to be Ronnie's, his grandmother gave him the tag after he died.

TODD NELSON (Uncle)

Todd Nelson is Debbie's brother and the uncle of Eminem. Divorced first wife, Janice. Remarried Katherine. Was sentenced to eight years in prison for manslaughter for shooting Janice's brother in self-defence. Educated in law, Todd is campaigning against asbestos use in prisons. Marshall lived with Todd for 5 years during his childhood. Today Eminem has no contact with his uncle. Todd also made the DVD 'Behind The Mask'. "It never occurs to me that he's famous," Nelson said. "I changed his diapers when he was a kid." Todd has recently shot himself in his car. He was depressed because the police wouldn't remove a dog that was threatening his family.

AMANDA (Niece)

Amanda (Amy) is the daughter of Kim's twin sister Dawn. She is one year older than Hailie and she lived for a few years in Eminem's house. Eminem has adopted Amanda.
